Families at St Bega's Catholic Primary School are being encouraged to take part in the Great British Beach Clean over the weekend of 18th September 2026.

As part of the national initiative, children will take home a bag and gloves to help them get involved in a local beach clean with their families. The event is a fantastic opportunity to spend time outdoors while helping to protect our coastline and local wildlife.

Whether families can spare 20 minutes or a couple of hours, every piece of litter collected makes a difference and helps keep our beaches clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone.

We would love to see our St Bega's community getting involved. Families are invited to share their beach clean photos on Seesaw so that we can celebrate everyone's efforts and inspire others to take part.

Together, we can show pride in our local area and help our children learn how small actions can lead to a big positive impact on our environment.
