Pupils in Year 1 at St Bega's Catholic Primary School have been developing their scientific curiosity as they began a new topic exploring how plants start to grow.
As part of their science learning, the children planted seeds and discussed what plants need in order to grow and thrive. They are now looking forward to observing the changes that take place over the coming weeks as their seeds begin to develop.
Throughout the investigation, pupils will carefully monitor their plants and record their findings, helping them to build important scientific skills such as observation, prediction and recording results. This hands-on approach allows children to see first-hand how living things grow and change over time.
